We’re throwing the product spotlight onto our remover, No Trace, this month. This is an alcohol based solvent that works the same way oil based removers do. No Trace is a super innovative product because it doesn’t leave an oily residue. This makes it unique among other removers that contain citrus. Even though No Trace uses the breakdown power of citrus oils, the alcohol base wipes out any potential residue.
No Trace is the perfect product to release tape from hair extensions. It works fast and cleans up easily. The citrus oils make it similar to C-22 and other citrus based removers, but the alcohol base saves you a ton of time on clean-up as a stylist. Due to the alcohol base, No Trace evaporates without tons of cleanup and leaves behind a fresh, mild citrus scent.
We love No Trace because it’s taken the best features of our other removers and combined them. It has the quick and intense power of C-22, with none of the cleanup time that C-22 leaves because of the oil base. No Trace is also available in both a 4oz spray and a 4oz drip-top, so you can choose which option is best for your salon.
How Do You Use It?
Apply No Trace over the area you want to remove adhesive from. Next, just wait for 10 seconds and start working the bond between the extension and your client’s hair loose with your fingers. Apply more solution if you need to. After that, you’re good to go! There shouldn’t be a need to wash because no oily residue will be left behind.
Products to Use with No Trace
Once you’ve used No Trace to work your client’s tape-in extensions out, try Extension Prep Shampoo for prepping your client’s hair for their next install. This is a powerful shampoo that removes any leftover stickiness, oil, or tape buildup. This product gets the hair incredibly clean and ready for a new install. Just keep in mind that this shampoo isn’t meant for everyday use.
